Carex pendula (hanging sedge) is an ornamental sedge in the Cyperaceae that is native to Europe. It can grow up to 6 feet tall. Leaf tips are red-brown to purple in color. It spreads via rhizomes and seeds and favors forest, riparian, and meadow habitat. 

Grown as an ornamental.
